What is low vision?

Low vision is impaired vision that can't be corrected with glasses, medication, or surgery. There are several definitions of low vision. For acuity or clarity, it is usually defined as 20/70 or worse vision in the better seeing eye with your glasses on. For field of view, low vision is defined as having 10 degrees or less out of a normal field of view that is about 170 degrees.
